Making Time for Fun!

Do you feel that your life is all work and no play? It’s important to make time for fun! 

In our increasingly busy world, many of us are working hard and not making the time for fun, laughing or simply feeling happy.

Our obligations – Professional life, meetings, home life, working out, meditation (the list goes on). It shouldn’t feel so heavy, but a lot of the time it does. It can feel like another thing to pack into our already packed schedules. It doesn’t leave much time or space for us to be spontaneous. At this point it could be leaving you feeling anxious just at the thought of making space to fit in FUN! Do me a favour and just give it a go and see how you feel.

This week is going to be the week for giving yourself permission do something for YOU!  At least  once a day do something that YOU love! Laugh, smile and truly enjoy and not because you have to but because you want to! It doesn’t need to make sense or cost anything or take a long time.

Stop! Put down the computer, paperwork, bills, chores and the to-do list. I’m not saying forget about them forever, just put them to one side. It’s time to have some fun, smile and do something you haven’t done for a while. See someone you haven’t seen for a while or do that something that you’ve been putting off.

Heres a few suggestions

1) Call someone you love talking with, but have been putting it off.

2) Try something new you’ve been dying to do.

3) Play on the floor with the kids, dogs or partner. Silly and no purpose.

4) Try a new place to walk.

5) Try a new food experience.

6) Talk to 5 new people.

7) Do something that has no purpose, but is super funny for you.

8) Dress up, just because!

9) Try a new workout.

10) Go to a new place.

Having fun is an important part of our well-being for everyday good health. It’s free and why not enjoy each day as we live our life? Instead of feeling sad, stressed or overwhelmed give yourself permission to start adding fun into your day starting today!
